Find your way to Östergötland
The Öresund Bridge between the Danish capital, Copenhagen, and Sweden’s third largest town, Malmö, has made travel to Sweden from continental Europe easier than ever. The journey from Malmö to Östergötland takes between three and four hours by road or rail. Once you arrive in Östergötland, a convenient way to explore the region is to use the regular buses, trams and local trains operated by Östgötatrafiken.
ARRIVING BY RAIL OR ROAD
From the south and Copenhagen, it’s simple to travel to Östergötland by train, car, camper or bus. There are direct intercity and express train services from Copenhagen. If you’re coming by car, simply cross the Öresund Bridge to Malmö and then take the E4 motorway north. It passes right through the heart of Östergötland. The journey from Malmö to Östergötland takes three to four hours by rail or road.

Linköping City Airport has direct connections with Amsterdam. Stockholm Skavsta Airport is just an hour’s drive north of Östergötland and has direct flight connections with many European cities. Stockholm Arlanda Airport
